CYBERMAN 0 Posted May 13, 2000 HI IF ANY ONE CAN HELP HERE IS THE PROBLEM I HAVE A 20.49 GB HDD PARTITIONED AS FOLLOWS WIN98SE IS ON C: DRIVE C: = 1.94GB=W98& STUFF D: = 7.79GB=W98 GAMES+APPS E: = 1.94GB= I WANT TO PUT W2K HERE F: = 7.34GB= W2K APPS ALSO THAT DOES NOT = 20.49 WHY IS THAT ? I GO TO INSALL W2K ALL GO’S WELL UNTILL IT REBOOTS THEN I GET ( BSOD ) WITH A MESSAGE SAYING ( INACCESSIBILE BOOT DEVICE OXFE4A4890) WHATS THAT ALL ABOUT ? Share this post Link to post
YuppieScum 0 Posted May 13, 2000 I would expect (although you haven't mentioned your hardware) that the drive is on a ATA66/UDMA2 controller. W2K will not natively support these devices, so you have to get the W2K drivers from the vendors web site, and either install them during setup when asked for additional SCSI drivers, or put the drive on a regular IDE port, install W2K, install the drivers then place it back on the ATA66.
