news 28 Posted September 29, 2008 The AMD 790GX chipset is aimed at creating a new enthusiast level of product that should be far more accessible to regular people, both in terms of price and the ability to wring every spare MHz of performance out of the latest generation of AMD processors. While it succeeds in some areas, it is weighed down by some extraneous baggage that may not make it as appealing as AMD hoped to its targeted market. It certainly does everything it promises, and the product I was able to test was solid and packed with overclocking features. Integrated performance is again top shelf, and the added benefit of Avivo HD is a real one. It certainly is a cost effective enthusiast board with the added benefit of ACC." Thanks for a post!
