Turbo Grunkamoj 0 Posted May 23, 2000 Hi I have a Soundblaster 64 AWE gold. And I have been running win2k for quite some time now, with no problem. Im refering to the hardware-compatability page now, and wondering if others have problems with it? I dont use any special drivers or anything just what win2k provides, and it works great. slayer_udel 0 Posted May 23, 2000 Yeah, thats a funny thing. I recall running my SB AWE 64 Gold with Windows 2k RC3 for a while without a darn problem. I didnt use any of the "advanced" features, but I had no problems that I can remember. I run 98 now, and I am getting ready to install Pro Server... here's my breakdown Abit BP6 2 400 PPGA Clerons 96Mb PC100 Ram Xentor 32 Linksys 10/100 PCI Network Card WinTV G0! (love that thing) Viking 56K winmodem (hate that thing) Awe 64 Gold! (not using udma/66) (not using USB) Mag DJ700 Seagate 8.6 Gig EIDE HDD @Udma 33 Dumb old IDE CD Rom ----------- thats pretty much it, with no problems email me if you have a problem, I'm turning on DSL on Wed.... ought to be fun. slayer Share this post Link to post
