News: Badaboom 1.0 uses Nvidia GPUs to transcode video

Recommended Posts

Nvidia has made lots of noise about its CUDA general-purpose programming interface in recent months, but CUDA-based consumer applications have been hard to come by. Elemental has released version 1.0 of Badaboom to the public, so we got on the phone with Elemental CEO Sam Blackman to learn about the software. Read on to find out what formats Badaboom supports, whether you can use it to transfer DVDs to your iPhone, and what's coming in future releases.
