ComputerMan 0 Posted June 6, 2000 I think that maybe is the Celeron the problem, but I am not sure what chipset do you have ? I mean BX, VIA, i810-820-840 (God forbid). Mine is PII 333MHz, now running ice cold at 500MHz (100x5 FSB), no additional fans needed.., that makes me think about... Buy this is faster, now we have this is faster than the other, to all are the same with different labels..., clever Intel ahhh, Ok Specs of CPU: BX80523P333512ESL2WY (or SL2WY for short) MM : 818668 FPO/BATCH : Y9030210 VERSION : 719799-003 2.0V PACK DATE : 01/23/99 Made in Ireland (Yes thank you folks, you rock) On a SOYO 6VBA 133, with the async memory clock to PC66, yeah, I will change the memory later, 'cause I had to do an emergency repair this monday after the Half-life burning com ports... ;-) Share this post Link to post
pr-man 1 Posted June 6, 2000 well I have a BX chipset on my mobo and the celeron 300a is @464 and running around 84F Share this post Link to post
ComputerMan 0 Posted June 7, 2000 I was trying to understand the incredible amount of Ram-programs that are you using. Actually 2 memory programs are too much !!! If i was you dump the Ram boosters and try without them, there is no way that such programs could accelerate your pc, I had similar problems with win2k rc2 and clevercache, high, high latency, slow response, slow performance. pr-man 1 Posted June 8, 2000 actually I was only running one program, dont know why it showed up as two I will run test again with it off Share this post Link to post
