CombOver 0 Posted June 6, 2000 My apologies for the title, I realized after posting that may be too general. Anywho... I have ALWAYS had problems installing Nvidia drivers above version 3.68, and have had intermittent problems with them as well. My system would hang(2d or gaming)after a bit, and I would need to shut the suka down. Well, after d!ckn around with my machine for 2 weeks or so, I figured somethn out. The machine would only hang AFTER I had logged in, which told me it HAD to be software I was loading on login. Well, guess what. I nuked Bloat(live)Ware 3 for my SBlive, and voila! No more hangy! Not sure if I can explain why, but I now can load the 5.22 drivers with no problem! Damn liveware and those bloody soundfonts! They must have thought 2000 compatible meant it needed to take 2000 minutes to load the damn things. Here's my specs if you care.. Athalon 600 on an FIC SD11 190mb memory (yes, its all on amd's list.) Adaptec 2940u2w 2 9.1g lvd drives (damn, no 10k for those bad boys SBLive soundcard CL TNT2 (un-ultrad') All the latest bios and chipset updates.... Just my two cents! Noope 0 Posted June 8, 2000 Do you have a VIA KX133 Chipset ? If yes, try the new VIA AGP driver. They work fine for me. CU Noope Share this post Link to post
