GHz 0 Posted June 10, 2000 I know this has been mentioned before, but I can't seem to remember the .inf file I need to edit. FYI im talking about getting the reference 3.78 TNT2 drivers to run the proper refresh rates in OpenGL games. I thought it was nv4_disp.inf, but I did a search for it on C: and it found nothing. Hmm... I'm tired of 60hz damnit Any help apreciated ;] ------------------ GHz Share this post Link to post
GHz 0 Posted June 11, 2000 C'mon guys I know this is an easy one... You edit an .inf file, right? ... ------------------ GHz Share this post Link to post
FrogMaster 0 Posted June 11, 2000 inf file, that's right. change refresh rate for whatever resolution and depth color you want for your video card type. Be careful not to change the structure or the file thu. Keep the tabs as they are. Share this post Link to post
GHz 0 Posted June 12, 2000 I know that I'm supposed to edit an .inf file, but WHAT .inf file is that? What's the name of it?? ------------------ GHz Share this post Link to post
mr_yellow 0 Posted June 12, 2000 I'd like to be the smart-ass who says(sorry): "Use the search button". You can not only find which file to edit but exactly what the other instructions involved are. and since I'm not the total sh*t-head i will outline the proceedure from what i have left in my memory. nv4_disp.inf: yes, that's the file you edit. You can find it packaged with the drivers BEFORE you install.. so unzip it from your archive. find the resolution and refresh rates for you card. Mine's a tnt2 ultra, so I look under: NV5ULTRA you'll see the listings grouped by colour depth and on each line a resolution and it's valid refresh rates. etc, etc, etc... there's also a way to directly edit the registry so you don't have to reinstall drivers. So go use the search button already!! you think my memory is that good?? mr_yellow Share this post Link to post
