"At iRingPro, we have built a business on providing sophisticated ringtones to professional mobile users who demand serious, technically advanced alternatives, and to regular users just looking for more elegant, peaceful ringtones," says iRingPro founder Joel Hladecek. "But we also recognize that there are a lot of people out there with the talent and tools to create terrific sounds that may yet appeal to our clientele. We wanted to create a way for our customers and visitors to benefit from that, so long as the creator of the sounds indeed offers them for free."

 

Often when people think of free ringtones, they imagine repurposed popular songs, illegally posted on any number of convert-it-yourself sites of little ethical consideration. But iRingPro firmly discourages such submissions recognizing that more often than not, such postings infringe on copyright owners.

 

The company further contends that music ringtones, having not been created for the purpose, result in ultimately inferior ringtones, appealing more to children, than professionals and high-tech users. As such the site specifically asks that users submit original and unique sounds that "a self-respecting professional might use."

 

iRingPro staff review each submission to verify that the sound may be legally used for free before passing the link on to users. They further ask copyright owners to alert them to any misconduct.

 

iRingPro ringtones are available for purchase and download. All 21 ringtones come bundled as a set for the single price of $9.95 (USD). Formatted for Apple iPhone and other phones that allow custom MP3 files to be loaded from a PC and assigned as a ringer by the user.
