5t3ph3n 0 Posted June 19, 2000 First of all the search didn't work. (it found results but finally said 0 results...). Tried browsing 7 pages h/w post but nothing related... So anyone know how to cure the lost of hybernation/stand by just after the installation of hollywood beta1 drivers? P.S. Sigma design initially said that will release official gold drivers just as soon as win2k is released; that's February. Maybe they meant Whistler Abit BH6rev1.0 BIOS QN SB PCI 64, Canopus spectra 2500 TNT, Hitach gd2500bx dvd etc... 5t3ph3n 0 Posted June 20, 2000 ...and "Hollywoo"d is spelled Hollywood, "Real Magic" is spelled "Real Magic" and "smartass" is spelled "smartass"... Share this post Link to post
5t3ph3n 0 Posted June 20, 2000 a search for "hibernation real magic" and "hibernation magic" and "hibernation hollywood" returned 0 results (maybe it's because older supjects are erased). So anyone willing to help me on that? Share this post Link to post
FrogMaster 0 Posted June 20, 2000 I don't know about this particular prob but you're right. It seems that most old posts (not so old in fact) have disappeared/been deleted or lost. So there is no reason to draw one's flame-thrower as soon as somebody is asking for help. Maybe the Admins will give an explanation??? Share this post Link to post
CM 1 Posted June 20, 2000 Try this: Search Words: hibernation hollywood and select (important!) => Match any of the search terms above. Search Forum/Archive: Hardware and hit Perform Search Worked for me... got 21 hits Hope that help Christian Share this post Link to post
5t3ph3n 0 Posted June 20, 2000 1) Nope! Nothing related to! All the posts (22) are from April 2 till now BUT NOTHING EARLIER. So anyone of the admins can give us an explanation about the older ones? Have they been erased for space? Have they gone off-line? 2) Regarding search: CM, you're right. I should have selected the "ANY OF THE WORDS" if i wanted ANY of the words. But i want ALL the words (Hollywood+hibernation). So, 0 results for Hollywood+hibernation. (Anyway i searched all 22 results but still nothing of interest to me). Further, regarding my mispelling of the word hibernation: a. English is not my first language and b. Search should have intelligent mechanism to avoid similar no-results 3) My main question does not regard SEARCH function but the problem of Hollywood Real Magic + decoder board which just after i installed beta1 drivers hibernation (or hybernattion ) was lost along with ACPI functions. I'm sure many of you have bought it and someoene at least can enlighten this case. thanks and sorry for the long post stef Abit BH6-1.0 BIOS QN [This message has been edited by 5t3ph3n (edited 20 June 2000).] Share this post Link to post
Philipp 6 Posted June 20, 2000 The correct syntax for UBB search is "hollywood hibernation" and not "hollywood+hibernation". All postings of the last year are still there. I have reindex the search engine index file. There are right now only two postings that content both words: 1) This one and 2) http://www.ntcompatible.com/ubb/Forum3/HTML/002831.html Share this post Link to post

Philipp 6 Posted June 20, 2000 Just change "Show topics from the last 30 days" (under the "Post New Topic" Button) to "Show all topics" and click "Go" to see all topics. Share this post Link to post
