Paralell port ATA - HDD

I have a external drive connection , wich until recently housed a CD-ROM.I have since replaceced the CD-ROM with a 6.4 Gig HDD -

 

But the drivers for the drive connection is for a CD-ROM not a ATA compliant HDD.

Thus NO DEVICE present !

 

Where perhaps can I get a Wonderfull Program that can make my headache go away ??
