Columbia, MD - Useful Fruit Software is proud to announce Pear Note 1.1, the latest version of their note-taking utility for Mac OS X. At its core, Pear Note integrates audio, video, and slides with traditional text notes and stores all of this on a timeline for easy navigation. Pear Note 1.1 adds the ability to share notes with others by exporting text, audio, or video. Also new, users can import externally recorded audio or video. Pear Note records audio or video while the user takes notes, allowing the user to later find what was being said when they typed something. They can then play back the entire recording, or jump to the point they need to hear. Pear Note 1.1 builds on Pear Note's recording capabilities by allowing users to share notes with coworkers and classmates that are not Pear Note users. Notes can be exported as plain text or rich text documents to share thoughts. Also, users can export recorded audio or video as AAC files or QuickTime movies so others can hear or see what they missed. Pear Note 1.1 allows users to import externally recorded audio or video into a note. Users can import audio into a new note and take notes while playing back the recording. This is useful in situations where it is not feasible to take notes live. Alternatively, users can record audio on an external device instead of their Mac and later import that audio to sync with the notes they typed. Additional new features in 1.1 include enhanced text editing capabilities such as lists, links, and tables as well as numerous user interface and stability enhancements. Feature highlights include: * Records audio, video, every keystroke, and slide changes * Playback navigation utilizing text notes or slides * Search to find notes quickly * Rich Text Notes * Spotlight support for pear note documents * QuickLook support for pear note documents * Spell Checking * Import and view slides from Powerpoint, Keynote, and PDF files * Export text, audio, and video * Import audio and video Minimum Requirements: * Mac OS X Version 10.5 Leopard or later * Universal Binary for PowerPC and Intel * 6 MB Hard Drive space * Spotlight must be enabled * A microphone (if recording audio) * iSight (if recording video) Pricing and Availability: Pear Note 1.1 can be purchased for $39.99 (USD).
