ATI video cards

Recommended Posts

I am thinking about getting a new compuer online. The computer comes with a 32MB ATI Xpert 2000 3D Accelerator Card. I was wondering if anyone knows of its performance in win2k, whether or not it has good d3d/opengl support, and is it worth it? If anyone can answer these questions then that'll be great and could save me some money smile

Good Windows performer but not a gamig card(D3D/Opengl). For the same price range you might want to think about a Voodoo3 or a TNT2.

Good luck

My recomendation is this. ATI supports Win2K fairly well, but they are HORRIBLE when it comes to drivers. If you have the chance, and the money, I recommend something by Nvidia. They're always releasing new(and for me, better) drivers, and are much better in games than ATI. However, if DVD's are your thing, then ATI is the best bet.

etc. etc. etc.
