Fozz 0 Posted July 1, 2000 Hi all. I've been using Win2000 for a while now and it's definitely the way to go. However, I just dual booted it woth WinME (final release) and I have a question on that. When I go to play a DVD using Power DVD and DVD Genie, when I press Play, I get the following error: ASPI for Windows not available! Only 32-bit CD-Rom drivers supported. The Device Manager reports no problems and the drive is working fine. What's the story with that? I just installed the OS so I would have thought that I have all the drivers needed... Any and all help is appreciated! Share this post Link to post

Fozz 0 Posted July 2, 2000 First of all I better thank Arin for being an arsehole...he obviously has a lot of freetime... Anyway, I resolved the problem by just downloading the latest ASPI drvers for Win98 from the Adaptec website. That sorted it out. Finaly I have to say that WinME is fine...no real problems - it just seems to be a slimmed down version of Win2K without all the security and other NT options, so if you don't need them then ME might be worth a look. G'luck all. Share this post Link to post
