IOU 0 Posted July 4, 2000 Hi folks, hope I can get some information from ya.. here is the problem I am having.. My CD RW says it is not a read/write cd? Have all the drivers that I can think of latest ones from adaptec 4.02 etc.. HP Thi is what it says when I try to move a file from one folder to my CD RW drive. "Cant copy xxx file -files on this CD-ROM drive are read-only". you cannot copy or move files to this cd rom drive.. if I try to save say a text file to my cd rw.. this is the message you do not have permissons to open this file( i am not trying to open one anyhow trying to save it to my cdrw) see the owner of the file or an admin to obtain perm. I am set as admin on the PC...No clue would love some help on this..thanks oh... and it works fine when I burn a cd with adaptec.. just cant drag/drop a darn file or save a file to it... JediBaron 0 Posted July 4, 2000 Are you useing Win2k? Are you runing EZ-CD Creader 4 normal or some kind of HP hybrid? Are you then runing Adaptec DirectCD? Is your burner on it's own IDE chain?
