Silent-IQ 0 Posted July 2, 2000 Hmmm, I have big problems with my Geforce card and PCI bus with win2k. I cant get my geforce working with PCI bus, I installed the newst VIA drivers and BIOS update on the mobo, even the windows updates. When my GF card is in the machine i cant have any PCI card in the machine or my win2k want start. If i boot with voodoo3 pci everything works fine untill something or someone (like me) starts using the GF card. F ex trying to install GF drivers when using voodoo3 pci for display will freeze the system. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? APV_SAV 0 Posted July 3, 2000 Try disabling mouse shadow, it may help, at least for me. Share this post Link to post
Silent-IQ 0 Posted July 4, 2000 Nope, didnt work. Any other suggestions? /silent-iq Share this post Link to post
JediBaron 0 Posted July 4, 2000 It's definately a mb pnp problem, not a win2k prob. After installing the Geforce did you go into the BIOS setup and tell it to refresh the pnp? It's usually an option such as 'clear NVRAM' or perhaps 'Reset Configuration Data'. There's a couple others too, but those are the most common. You should set that option every time you change any hardware on the board. If that doesn't work set Spread Spectrum to on or off (whatever it's not currently set to) Share this post Link to post
Silent-IQ 0 Posted July 5, 2000 Well, i did reset the pnp in the bios, many times, but that does not work, you see, i can run win2k with the geforce in my computer, using my voodoo3 pci, and win2k runs fine as long i dont install the drivers for GF card...... spread spectrum?? nothing like that in my bios...if it is a bios settting.. /thanx... APV_SAV 0 Posted July 5, 2000 Check out the forum at www.2cpu.com heard there are problems with the tiger 133 with dual cpu, you need to ask tyan to exchange your tiger 133 to an Rev. F version. Share this post Link to post
