rdsii640 0 Posted May 6, 2003 I am having much trouble with my ide controller card. It is a promise card mandrake 9.1 does not like my card at all. is there anyplace i can find some inforation on ide controler cards with linux. i have checked the promise website and found nothing I have tried the mandrake site and also found nothing. I have tried looking with other distros and have had no luck. can anyone help me or at least point me in the right direction. thanks Share this post Link to post

Kanniball 0 Posted June 7, 2003 if you don't know the model try lspci -v and check. if not work try to update de pciids database at http://pciids.sourceforge.net/ the go to /usr/src/linux-[version] and make xconfig and in ATA/IDE... check for it... if is not mentioned try to search google for model and linux.
