Maeric 0 Posted July 11, 2000 Okay this problem has been annoying me for far too long. Maybe somebody else can help because I've about given up. I have a HP Pavilion 8665C computer. HP doesn't seem to think the Pavilion line of computers should be used in Windows 2000; however, I have chosen to do this. Everything works fine with the system EXCEPT the keyboard and sound card. The Internet One-touch keyboard works but not with the extra keys. This wouldn't be a problem except that pushing the 'standby' button causes the computer to reboot automatically (this is a security concern). The sound is supposed to come from a SoundBlaster PCI128 sound card. However, I have tried to install the drivers from Creative Labs and none of them will work at all. I have tried to contact Hewlett Packard about all these problems and have gotten their generic company line: 'sorry we don't support Windows 2000 for the Pavilion line of computers.' What good support! Can anybody help?? Maeric P.S. Here is the web page that lists the specs on the Pavilion 8665C and is for the more technically inclined individuals that would like to help me out: http://hp-at-home.com/datasheets/datasheet2.cfm?model_number=8665C&country=us Share this post Link to post
