Gladiator 0 Posted July 12, 2000 I need someone to answer this question. I have an ABIT KA7 with the KX133 chipset and a Geforce DDR. After installing Win2k on a clean harddrive, I proceeded to install the Via 4in1 drivers (ver4.23) followed by the 5.32 drivers for the Geforce. DXDIAG and WCPUID both say that AGP is enabled, but in device manager, it says that my Geforce is located at PCI BUS 1. Someone I spoke with says that PCI BUS 1 = AGP. Is that true with the KX133 chipset? Any advice would be appreciated. Share this post Link to post
Four and Twenty 0 Posted July 12, 2000 doesn't sound to urgent!!! Obviously your sys recognizes agp as pci slot 1 whats the problem? Share this post Link to post
ArKay 0 Posted July 12, 2000 PCI slot 1 and the AGP slot usually share 1 ICQ so to me it sounds reasonable that they are somehow connected (either you use an AGP or a PCI graphics card). Share this post Link to post
sandvic 0 Posted July 12, 2000 Via 4in1 drivers are not for Win2K *oops* Share this post Link to post
euankirkhope 0 Posted July 12, 2000 The agp port is an extended 64-bit PCI bus. 1X speed AGP is simply a 64-bit PCI bus with a different connector. PCI slots are bus 0 (computer/electronics counting starts at 0 not 1) And the via 4 in 1 are for win2k, NT4 and 9x. Share this post Link to post
