Psychodad 0 Posted July 19, 2000 Hallo! Ich hab leider ein großes Problem mit Win2k! Zuerst mal zu meinem System: AMD ATHLON 600 MHZ Epox 7-KXA (4 in 1, 4.23 Via Treiber installiert, 522 Bios!) Elsa Erazor 2 (RivaTNT, nVidia 5.32 Treiber) Elsa Microlink PCI (aktuelle Win2k Treiber) Netgear PCI Netzwerkkarte Soundblaster LIVE! 1024 (mit LW3.0 for WIn2k) Sony CD-Brenner Asus DVD Seagate Barracuda 20 GB (3 OS (Win2k NTFS5, Win2k Fat32, Win98SE Fat32 IBM 6,4 GB (Fat32 Daten!) Irgendwelche Tips?! Bitte postet jede Idee! DANKE! MFG PsyChoDaD Share this post Link to post
someone_nt 0 Posted July 19, 2000 Ich spreche nicht gut Deustch, aber ich glaube ich kann dir helfen...aber nur auf English!! Now, some tips (sorry guys, I've only studied german for 3 years, and yet I'm unable to write a few sentences without having problems...well, in fact, i STILL have problems in English, tough :-/ ) 1- 5.32 drivers, like any driver newer than 5.xx, do not have agp support. Download the lastest drivers from elsa, or 3.78, which have agp support. 2-DELETE Windows 2000 fat32 installation. If you have Win98, you won't need it. 3-I've heard that some BIOS have problems with HD drives bigger than 8 GB (or bigger sizes). For instance, asus p5a motherboard needs to be flashed to 1010 beta 002 to support 32 GB drives. Some OS will probably have problems with that configuration. Windows 98 has also support for another Fat32 fs, which was added to solve problems with partitions bigger than 8 GB. 4-Seagate provided a software driver or hack to avoid these problems 5-Do a surface check. Maybe your Windows 2000 fat32 partition is physically corrupt. Hope this is usefull for you.... PD: Warum brauchts du Windows 2000 mit FAT32 in dein Komputer? Share this post Link to post
CUViper 0 Posted July 19, 2000 I've got 5.32 installed with 2x AGP working just fine..... Share this post Link to post

And now to my problem: I have 3 Partion on my HDD! On the first Partion is Win2k installed with NTFS Datasystem! On this OS is no Via 4 in 1 drivers installed! It is very stable! On the second Parion is Win2k with Fat32 installed! This system often freez! If the system is more used (for example playing games) it freez! I have Via 4 in 1 drivers installed on this partion!
