Keyboard Screwed up

I just got an irritating error.

My keyboard is typing wrong keys.

When I press 1 it comes up with "1|"

2 = 2

3 = 3

4 = 45

5 = 45

and so on with all number keys.

no number keys work with shift.

 

It's like on both win2k and win98 AND EVEN DOS

 

Mabe it's the keyboard that is nearly dead..

It's a compaq keyboard.
