Accolades add to company’s increasing momentum as enterprises continue to turn to Zenoss for network and systems monitoring

Annapolis, MD – March 3, 2009 – Zenoss Inc., the leading commercial open source network and systems management provider, today announced it has been named a finalist for three awards.  Zenoss has been selected as a finalist in the Enterprise Tools category at the 19th Jolt Product Excellence Awards as well as the Software & Information Industry Association’s (SIIA) 24th Annual CODiE Awards in the Best Open Source Solution category.  In addition, Zenoss is a finalist for the Innovator Award at the Chesapeake Regional Tech Council(CRTC) TechAwards 2009.

In 2008, Zenoss experienced astounding growth in its commercial enterprise sales with revenue increasing 382 percent over 2007.  The company added 110 new enterprise customers during the year, including Carlson Travel, Tyco Electronics, Cap Gemini, Formica and iStockphoto.  Zenoss Core crossed 875,000 total downloads and the number of community members grew to over 40,000.

The Jolt Product Excellence Awards have been presented annually to showcase products that have "jolted" the industry with their significance and made the task of creating software faster, easier, and more efficient.  Winners will be announced on March 11 at the annual Software Development Conference & Expo West in Santa Clara, California.  The SIIA’s CODiE awards are the only peer reviewed awards within the software and content industries.  Winners will be announced on May 5 at the awards gala in San Francisco, California.

The Chesapeake Regional Tech Council (founded as the Anne Arundel Tech Council in 1992), provides a forum designed to further economic development in the Annapolis-Washington-Baltimore communities through the support of innovation and commercialization of advanced technologies.  Winners of the TechAwards 2009 will be announced at a gala on March 26 in Annapolis, Maryland.

“Following closely on the heels of a tremendous 2008, these awards reinforce the innovation of our approach and relevance of our solutions in today's market.  Now more than ever, enterprises are making the move to products like ours, which deliver proven capabilities and greater flexibility at a fraction of the cost of the traditional offerings,†said Bill Karpovich, Zenoss co-founder and CEO.
