For example, script users now have access to the list of groups as well as a list of cleaners for a group allowing them to custom build a user interface to TextSoap with any Mac OS X scripting language. Enhanced commands also support the cleaning of script text, the contents of the user's clipboard and specified text files. For quick work, script users can easily bring up a palette (with group support) with a single script command. Version 6.1 also adds several new features, including: * Toggling between rich text and plain text for both the clipboard workspace and text files * Additional built-in groups * New Automator options to specify text encoding when reading and writing files * New action to get leftmost range of characters * New action to get rightmost range of characters * New action to get middle range of characters * New action to convert rich text hyperlinks to plain text * Speak Text toolbar button Dozens of fixes and improvements help address user reported problems and enhancement requests.
