K7V + Athlon 800 = confused

Recommended Posts

Okay, I have an Athlon 800 and the Asus K7V mobo. I know the mobo has a lot of cool features that other boards didn't have until the KX-133 chip. The one i am concerned about is the 4X AGP. I have a Geforce DDR that i know is capable at running 4X, but i am not sure how to check it. How do i know if it is running 4X and if it isn't, how do i turn it on? Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

P.S. If there are any of you out there with this setup, can you tell me what FPS you are getting with Quake III at 1024x768 with 32 bit color and everything maxed out. (textures, trilinear, etc..) Thank you

There is a registry fix to enable 4x with the new Nvidia drivers...

Search the main page for Via Windows 2000 AGP fix, and it should say something...

Download WCPUID to see if it worked.

And good luck on all you tweak
