INFERNO2000

Now this is really pissing me off!

Recommended Posts

Ok...Asus K7V Athlon 750, Win2k, Nvidia card.

I'm getting a crapload of errors, namely ntoskrnl.exe, and a few sysaudio.sys.

It's not my memory, as I've reformatted several times in this past week, with new RAM.

I have installed SP1(norton finds a virus in one of the files on a fresh install??) and all of the mobo specific progs and drivers.

I'm running a BIOS ver. 1007.

Any ideas on wtf is going on, and how to fix it?

I had similar problems, I narrowed my problems down to loading VIA IDE Busmastering drivers, other than what came with Win2000. I would lose my O.S. in 4-5 days with similar error messages. Maybe you have a similar issue. My O.S. hac been up and running for 3 months now, and I am running good. Hope that might help.

I was having a similar problem win I first installed Win2K. I resolved it by formatting, reinstalling and not installing the extra mother board drivers [except for the sound drivers]. I've had it up for 2 months now, no probs [related to that anyway ;)].
