TB99 0 Posted August 22, 2000 Hey, I'm about to build a new system and would like a recommendation on a mother board that works well with Win2k and just works well in general. I'm going to be putting in an AMD Athlon 700 thru 850 (haven't decided on speed yet) and what's the difference between the T-Bird Socket A and the regular? I'm not planning on overclocking this cpu because I need this to last many many many years and I don't want to shorten its lifespan any ... Another thing I had a question about is I'm building this computer mainly for Digital editing .. I'm planning on getting firewire and using my digital video camera to edit and such, I was wondering what video card would be best for this as well? Thanks ... any recommendations and/or opinions will be welcomed -TB Share this post Link to post
TB99 0 Posted August 23, 2000 Anyone? Anything on some kind of M/B or video card? Suggestions? Thanks -TB Share this post Link to post
chasputnam 0 Posted August 23, 2000 Can't comment on the mobo, but with regards to the video, take a look at the Matrox Marvel G400 (www.matrox.com/mga) as this card is designed for digital editing. Share this post Link to post
