ProjectUnfinished 0 Posted September 3, 2000 I am running a good system, check the signature below. And if I stick with the WDM drivers I fine, but if i install Live! drivers 3.0 alone or with Liveware its gives a crawl when you encode MP3 or play Deus Ex, it uses tracker music, pretty similar to playing mp3 in cpu use refers. But this happens only when you use some accerated sound functions. And when unistalling the drivers too. Please dont tell me get a Voodoo5 5500 i dont have the money for that extra bucks. I just have spent U$1356. The case keyboard and mouse are also new but that was during an emergency replacement way before this update to the machine. So i will not include them. (Ok U$1534). Yes they share all the same IRQ 9, the "Ugly" NIC Realtek, the "bad" MP3+ Live!, the "Good" ASUS 6800. I use the 3.79 (ASUS), 5.33 (ASUS), or the 6.18 detonator drivers. The only that i have not tryed is the 3.79. Help, help, help, desperate man here, well not so much it works like a speedy bullet. But it will be really apreciated. Thank you very much for reading so far. ------------------ PIII 800MHz EB (FSB133MHz) 128MB PC133 AsusTek CUSL2 FC-PGA i815E AsusTek AGP-V6800 GeForce 256 DDR SB MP+ Live! DosFreak 2 Posted September 3, 2000 Have you tried without ACPI? My system runs fine on 6.18 with 3D Prophet 2 GTS 64m on a BE6 with a P3550@633 and an Sblive!. Share this post Link to post
ProjectUnfinished 0 Posted September 3, 2000 A Must try. I will do it now. I will tell you later. Thanks. Share this post Link to post
ProjectUnfinished 0 Posted September 4, 2000 Mmmm nope. Nor the Bios or the motherboard had a jumper for it, and i run thru all the manual and bios settings. The ACPI is embedded in the Bios system. Strange that in Win98 its shows up in a separate fashion, Live! is IRQ 03, NIC is on 05, and the video is on the 11th. Too bad that i did not downloaded the win9x drivers. I will now.
