Chipmunk 0 Posted September 6, 2000 I'm having trouble with my Creative Geforce Pro on Windows 2000 Professional. I can't run 3D games on OpenGL or Direct3D mode, it will crash or automatically reboot the computer. I have tried playing Counterstrike on Win 2k, but only Software Rendering works. I've tried with & without Service Pack 1, with 6.18 (Detonator 3) drivers, with AGP 1X & 2X setting, with 32mb, 64mb, 128mb, 256mb, 512mb, & 1gb of Graphics Aparture size. All doesn't work!!! It used to work on my Windows 98, till I changed it to Windows 2000. Here are my system specs, someone help me please. AMD Athlon 700mhz Creative GeForce Pro Sound Blaster Live! etexter 0 Posted September 6, 2000 Have you tried using the latest VIA 4in1 drivers from http://www.viatech.com ? There was a fix in the latest agp driver for the Det 6.18 drivers and the chipset your motherboard is on. Hope that helps. Share this post Link to post
iBringPain 0 Posted September 6, 2000 Did you do a clean install or a upgrade? IF you just upgrade reinstall HL (and the rest of your software)and go to seeting and select the driver mode you want. Should work, no problems at all using W2k with games. Share this post Link to post
