evil Homer 0 Posted September 9, 2000 Saw it on the main page, just wondering if anyone had tried them out yet, especially the new AGP driver? I'm too much of a wuss to test them without feedback yet after getting my Win2k back from the brink after trying the last set of drivers... Feedback would be greatly appreciated... J_Pro 0 Posted September 9, 2000 I'm using them on 2k and ME. I installed the pieces manually on ME. No problems here with an ASUS P3V4X. Share this post Link to post
J_Pro 0 Posted September 9, 2000 One more thing. I already had the 4.03AGP drivers installed before I put this on ME. When I look at the extraced files for 4.25, I didn't see any folders that specify ME. The separated AGP driver has a folder for each OS. Share this post Link to post

J_Pro 0 Posted September 10, 2000 I did verify that on my 2k install the AGP driver did update to 4.04. Share this post Link to post
Outrage 0 Posted September 10, 2000 I Ghosted my Win2K partition and installed these new drivers, so far everything is running great and SOF in particular is noticeably smoother at hi resolutions. Asus P3V4X with G-Force GTS-MX. Outrage Share this post Link to post
evil Homer 0 Posted September 10, 2000 Well, the new drivers blow... Installed the new agp driver, ran 3D Mark 2000, and it hardlocked the system after two minutes. So, gone back to the previous 4.03d driver. Wonder if I can get rid of this board. Homer Share this post Link to post
FrogMaster 0 Posted September 11, 2000 Just installed these new drivers on a brand new system based on an ASUS CUV4X. No prob, very stable, besides the fact that I cannot get AGP 4x mode as in Win98 ; I get only AGP 2x. Does anybody know why I get only 2x mode in W2K? Just to know. I dunno care about the 2-3 extra fps I get when 4x is enabled in Win98. Share this post Link to post
INFERNO2000 0 Posted September 12, 2000 there's a registry value for the Nvidia. Search the main page for VIA WINDOWS 2000 and there should be something for a tweak down the page Share this post Link to post
evil Homer 0 Posted September 12, 2000 Why am I seriously losing confidence in my computer. Since I bought my K7v and Athlon 800, I've reinstalled Win2k three times, and Win98/ME, alternating between the two over the last two months. Install one driver, everything works fine, installed a supposedly new and fixed version, and it all goes pear shaped? Annoying, very annoying... Homer Share this post Link to post
Igor 0 Posted September 13, 2000 Tryed the new 4-1 Drivers. Well... now I can install the 6.18 drivers and system works. And as a bonus in AGP2 mode the damn 3dMark finanly doesn't lock the computer. It can even run all the way to 64 Meg test and then exit with no error messages it but doesn't take out the whole system as it used to. The stange thing is that 3Dmark runs fine under WIn98. Go figure. Share this post Link to post
