Four and Twenty 0 Posted September 14, 2000 I am interested in buying an MS IntelliMouse w/ Intelli Eye USB (not the optical or explorer model cause they are to clunky) The problem is all I can find on the web is the optical and the explorer model or if I find the normal one it is out of stock. Is there some kind of shortage of these mice? Anyway if anyone knows where to find this mouse at a decent price please post or send me some mail. I don't wanna have to go to like a real store that would suck! ------------------ My System Dell Demension XPS T500 Triple Boot Windows 2000 Pro 2195 (allways reliable) / Windows Whistler Pro 2250 (cool but buggy) / Windows Millennium Final (waste of disk space) PIII @ 500 Mhz (with after market heatsink and dual fan) 128 Megs Ram TNT2 Ultra Graphics Card (with the core and memory overclocked by 20 Mhz and dual voodoo coolers) Matrox Millennium PCI (for second monitor) 3Com 10/100 Ethernet Card 3Com 56k Modem 12.6 Gig IBM HD 40X CD Rom Drive 100 Mb Zip Drive Share this post Link to post
Igor 0 Posted September 14, 2000 I have the Microsoft Intellieye mouse. One with Optical sensor, but it is of the same shape MS mices were for the last 10years. It is an awesome mouse and works as PC2 or USB (comes with an adapter). They are also bloody cheap. Brand new here cost $26 US Share this post Link to post
INFERNO2000 0 Posted September 14, 2000 Best Buy tends to have them for about $30...and they also have the Logitech Variant for the same price..personally I prefer the Logitech one, as it tends to feel better than the Intellimouse ever did...Staples will usually have them as well. Otherwise, the ever popular www.pricewatch.com Share this post Link to post
Wolf87 0 Posted September 14, 2000 That mouse is also a real-mode Dos mouse. Quite surprising because one would think that USB cannot work in Dos due to the lack of Human Interface Device (HID) management. An Intellimouse Explorer plugged on USB port of an Asus Cubx motherboard works perfectly in real-mode Dos. It is true with the Dos Logitech drivers also with the Netroom multimedia cloaking drivers. You just have to keep IRQ 12 (PS2 mouse)available and unattached to any PCI slot. The MS Intellimouse however is totally PS2 and Legacy USB Enabled in the Asus Bios does the trick. MoreLight 0 Posted September 14, 2000 They are cheap and plentiful up here in Canada. Try www.futureshop.com or www.onvia.ca (all in Canadian funds). Or conversely send me US$30 and I will go pick you one up and send it to you as a gift so no duty or shipping on it. Actually I was serious about that part, I have been trading on Ebay quite a bit and have good references there. If interested, just email me and I'll hook you up. Surprisingly, we can get some stuff up here cheaper than States people. Not often, but there are a few goodies. Share this post Link to post
Josiah 0 Posted September 19, 2000 I bought a Microsoft intellimouse w/Intelli Eye when they first came out. I loved it and it is definetely the best mouse anyone has ever released. However about a month ago it broke. The wires got busted some how. I called them and microsoft replaced it with an Intellimouse Optical. I asked why they wouldn't send me the same mouse and they said it was because they have stopped making them. I know thats not what you wanted to hear. I have to say that the Optical isn't as bad as i thought it would be. I have grown to like it. If you insist on the Intellimouse w/Intellieye I have seen them on Pricewatch.com. Good luck Share this post Link to post
