RMH 0 Posted September 26, 2000 W2k Pro has now without any reason, as far as I can see, lost the INSTALL option on right-clicking an .INF file. It _was_ there previously. I have tried to restore it by using regfiles from another computer to restore the [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\inffile] and [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.inf] keys, but that still doesn't do the trick. I have also tried re-installing W2k over the top, but that still doedn't cure the problem. Is there a workaround to this please? RMH ------------------ Share this post Link to post
Toby 0 Posted September 26, 2000 Under Folder Options, File Types (in explorer). Check advanced on .INF Edit the action Install, it should be: C:\WINNT\System32\rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132 %1 I'm not sure it will work, but check if its missing... // Toby Share this post Link to post
