Overheating LED on SuperMicro Case

Recommended Posts

I've got a SuperMicro mini-tower case (lovely piece of kit, not cheap, but the build quality is excellent)

Anyway, on the front of the case are the usual Power LED, HDD LED but also a 'over-heating LED'

This over-heating LED has a two pin connector on the end.

I'm assuming that SuperMicro boards have provision for this.

Any ideas where to connect this too on an ASUS CUSL2 MB?

Not really bothered if I can't use it, but if there is a good location, would be nice.

You are correct in assuming that Supermicro boards have a place to connect that LED. My P6DBE does. However, none of my other systems have anyplace to connect that LED as far as temperature monitoring. Mine is hooked to my Promise Fasttrak66 controller to show its activity.
