CD-Ripping with Pioneer DVD-115

i read an article long ago posted on NTCompatible about the DVD-115 or whatever you call it.

I don't know if any of you have found this but ill say it anyway.

The review on it says that you can't rip audio cds with it. Well, I tried using MpegDJ Enc on it, and i thought yea they were right.

One day, I got bored and tested a freeware mp3 ripper/encoder called Simple.

Man was it fast: i ripped a 30m cd in less than 5mins. [160kbps]

But the point is: it works.

I haven't had any problems with mine. Audiograbber works ok with it.

 

The drive just doesn't pull audio as good as my Plextor does. Other than that, the 115 is a very sweet drive for everything else.
