bobbinbrisco 0 Posted September 15, 2002 i boot mandrake from the cd and everything goes well until the end of the installation when i want to use a floppy to boot to Mandrake instead of using LILO. the problem is that Mandrake can't detect my floppy: it tries to write data to the floppy drive but nothing happens. adamvjackson 0 Posted September 15, 2002 Are you able to read/write to the floppy from other operating systems? Does the floppy led stay lit? Have you tried replacing the cable? Just some general thoughts. Let me know how you make out. Share this post Link to post
bobbinbrisco 0 Posted September 15, 2002 my floppy runs perfectly normal under win2k, which is on the same computer as the one i'm trying to install mandrake Share this post Link to post
adamvjackson 0 Posted September 15, 2002 Definately strange... And you're trying to install Mandrake 6? If I might ask, do you need that older version? Share this post Link to post
