RattDawg 0 Posted October 11, 2000 Anybody have any insight to when Creative is going to release real drivers for the dxr3 DVD decoder. I have been waiting patiantly since April and have only seen a half ass beta. I have been forced to run Win Me. Hewlett Packard finally got their S**T togather why cant creative? This is the one thing holding me away from Win 2000 bliss. Thanks, RattDawg Share this post Link to post
DosFreak 2 Posted October 11, 2000 ??? 1. Install H+ Drivers 2. Use Creative DVD player or 1. Install H+ Drivers 2. Install H+ Software. 3. Download Zone Selector and use Zone Selector to play the H+ Software. or 1. Install Dxr3 Beta drivers. {YUK!) or 1. Try that hack that some people use for some weird reason. DeadCats 0 Posted October 11, 2000 or... 1. Install Beta Drivers and use registry hack. ------------------ "This year will go down in history. RattDawg 0 Posted October 12, 2000 Do any of these fixes still have the display problem? With every fix that I have tried it screws up my monitor. I get an unknown monitor and no way to reinstall the Sony drivers. Also there seems to be a problem with Direct X after getting the Dxr 3 running, games cant detect direct X. Please let me know any input is appreciated. RattDawg Share this post Link to post

I think it's the Detonator 3 drivers that have been doing it to me, though. It resets it to Default Monitor, but doesn't seem to affect anything. I can still set the refresh to anything my monitor can handle in the Adaptor tab. If it bothers you that much, you might want to check Sony's website for a driver .INF. I can see where you might want some color doohickeys. 2. Hewlett Packard finally got their S**T together? Big laugh. 3. No problems with games detecting DirectX either. Running Q3 Arena, HL, HL:OF, and SoF currently on my PC. I'm using the Dxr3 Beta and the simple Registry hack. No problems with MediaPlayer 7 and MPEG codecs, either. ------------------ "This year will go down in history. For the first time, a civilized nation has full gun registration. RattDawg 0 Posted October 13, 2000 Well I haven't tried them yet with a reg hack so that may work. The games I had a problem with were D3D games and I think they were all EA games but they did work before the beta drivers and Hollywood Plus work arounds. I did see a post awhile back ago that said how to force windows to reinstall monitor drivers. I'll have to dig around to find that again. As for HP getting their S**T together they did in my case anyway. After months of waiting for drivers for my Photosmart P1100 and ScanJet 4200C they finally came through. I'm sorry to hear that many still are haven issues. I just cant figure out what the hell the hold up is for Hardware drivers for 2000 Its not like the OS just came out yesterday. It isn't just Creative and HP it seems to be a lot of hardware venders BAD!!!! RattDawg Share this post Link to post
RattDawg 0 Posted October 25, 2000 Dos Freak I installed H+ drivers and software and everything works fine. I'm finally win9x FREE! One small prob though out of the 20 or so DVDs I have 3 wont play. I know that they worked in Win ME. I'm wondering if this could be related to the zone selector you were referring to? Wasn't sure where to download this. But anyway the system doesn't even see them. Weird! Well any suggestions would be helpful and thanks for the input. RattDawg Share this post Link to post
