PCI-X. Do we really need this?

Looks like we'll have to change our PCI cards for a new bus. No matter the fact PCI-X cards will still work under old PCI buses. The truth about this is that we will have to face another PCI to AGP like migration, or ISA to VESA .

 

Is there really an improvent?
