EddiE314 0 Posted October 26, 2000 I have an ABit BP6 Dual S370 Mobo left over from when i had dual Celeron 400's@550, my question is, can i use Celeron 633's and above with this Mobo? Is there a BIOS Update for it, if it will work, how far can i over clock Celeron 633's? Share this post Link to post
INFERNO2000 0 Posted October 26, 2000 Question 1 is if they're FC-PGA or not. If you have PPGA, then your CPUs won't work. Send an email out Abit's way, see what they say. I'm cheap, so I only have a single processor board...but from what I know, Cel 633s can get over a gig....if nothing else, you should be able to put it in the 900mhz area. EddiE314 0 Posted October 26, 2000 Intel Celeron 633 633MHz FCPGA processor. 32K L1, 128KB L2 Cache. Requires Socket 370 FCPGA compatible motherboard capable of 66MHz FSB. ----- So i can use my existing BP6? 900mhz-1ghz??? Are you serious?! thats cool, i was thinking somewhere in the 800mhz area..hell yea. Share this post Link to post
INFERNO2000 0 Posted October 26, 2000 IF you're lucky, 900 to 1ghz. check overclockers.com for what you can get. If you mobo can handle it, I say what the heck? try it out..but buy only 1 celeron for now... Share this post Link to post
