ComputerMan 0 Posted November 6, 2000 Have you installed the two OSes in separated disk partitions ? It will work better that way. Its one of the hard drives MAxtor ? Maxtor and SP1 for Win2k do not work right they lose and corrupt data. Your motherboard its Intel chipset or VIA ? Do you use the lastest Intel UltraDMA drivers ? Share this post Link to post

Shrink 0 Posted November 6, 2000 Try deleting the newly detected devices without installing drivers for them (i.e. hit cancel), then remove from device manager each of the original devices. Then permit them to be redetected on the next boot and hopefully it will only do it once. Let us know what happens. ------------------ Shrink 92% of the things we worry about don't happen - but the other 8% DO! First, I'd check my BIOS for weird settings. Then, I'd consider a reformat and reinstall. I've yet to see the problems you're having reported in this forum. ------------------ "Being married to a programmer is like owning a cat; you talk to it but you're never really sure it hears you, much less comprehends what you say." -DeadCats, 1999 Share this post Link to post
