Have you installed the two OSes in separated disk partitions ? It will work better that way. Its one of the hard drives MAxtor ? Maxtor and SP1 for Win2k do not work right they lose and corrupt data.

Your motherboard its Intel chipset or VIA ?

Do you use the lastest Intel UltraDMA drivers ?

Try deleting the newly detected devices without installing drivers for them (i.e. hit cancel), then remove from device manager each of the original devices. Then permit them to be redetected on the next boot and hopefully it will only do it once. Let us know what happens.

I have the same problem with my priter HP970 and with a external modem 3Com Mensager Plus V90.

If they are not power on, when win2k boots, the OS don´t find them.

I have to power them on, and then reboot.

I woul like to know how to solve this.

Thank's

With a little more probing what seems to be happening, is any device driver I install

or any system setting that i change in control panel disappears after reboot

That sounds like some serious stuff. First, I'd check my BIOS for weird settings. Then, I'd consider a reformat and reinstall.

I've yet to see the problems you're having reported in this forum.
