ak187 0 Posted November 10, 2000 Hi i have a Asus v3800 TNT2 card i try to update my drivers to the nVidia 6.31 drivers, and everytime i play a game or use Media player or Real player my whole computer halts. I cant figure out whats wrong it does this with every update except the Asus 5.31 drivers which arnt as good Can anyone think of anything? Thanks -AK Share this post Link to post
EM 0 Posted November 10, 2000 It would seem from your post that the ASUS 5.31 drivers are actually better than any others if they don't lock your PC up. However, my kids computer with a Diamond V770 (TNT2 Ultra) is using the 6.31 drivers right now. Unzip the drivers from Nvidia in a folder, go to display properties and update driver, search for a driver and choose the one in the folder where you have unzipped the new drivers. Voila, updated. ak187 0 Posted November 11, 2000 i have done that.... i know how to update drivers once its done and i have rebooted i go to play a game or use Media Player or Real Player it locks up i use powerstrip now i set my AGP to 1x but doesnt that make it slower? i wanna use the power i have Share this post Link to post
JediBaron 0 Posted November 14, 2000 Try uninstalling powerstrip. And if you've installed any other tweak software you should remove it. Never, ever leave tweak software and settings in the computer while upgrading drivers. It's just all around a bad practice. Share this post Link to post
