The makers of Welcome to Macintosh announced that the documentary will be available to all US Comcast Cable TV subscribers on Pay Per View beginning July 1st 2009. Comcast Subscribers can find it in the Pay Per View channels as well as the Movie section of their On Demand service. Welcome to Macintosh is a feature length documentary that explores the many ways Apple, Inc. has changed the world.

 

Los Angeles - The makers of Welcome to Macintosh are happy to announce that the documentary will be available to all US Comcast Cable TV subscribers on Pay Per View beginning July 1st 2009. Comcast Subscribers can find it in the Pay Per View channels as well as the "Movie" section of their On Demand service.

 

"Getting to offer "Welcome to Macintosh" to the over over twenty four million Comcast's subscribers is an important achievement for an independent film" says Rob Baca, Co-director of the film.

 

"Welcome to Macintosh" is a feature length documentary that explores the many ways Apple, Inc. has changed the world. Notable Apple personalities Andy Hertzfeld, co-creator of the original Macintosh, Guy Kawasaki, long time Mac evangelist and Leander Kahney, author of the book "Cult of Mac" offer insight into the company's past, present and future.

 

"The goal was to make a film that you can show to anyone, even someone that has never used a computer, and have them understand why so many people love Macintosh," says Josh Rizzo, Co-Director. "Availability to all US Comcast customers goes a long way toward completing that goal."

 

"This is the first of many exciting announcements regarding distribution of the film" adds Baca.

 

Welcome to Macintosh has been presented in over fifty user groups around the world as well as an official selection in seven international film festivals including the 10th Annual Wisconsin Film Festival, the 4th Globians World and Culture Documentary Film Festival, the 2nd Annual FuzzB Family Film Fest, the 1st Ann. Naperville Independent Film Fest as well as the Cleveland Ingenuity Festival. The Welcome to Macintosh website includes exclusive behind the scenes content including photos, videos, discussions.
