Ntloader missing message when trying to install xp

Hey, I hope someone can help me. I am trying to install win. xp pro and I keep getting a message Ntloader missing immidiatly after the boot up sequence ends. The Hard disk have been formatted and they are in NTFS format. WOuld converting them to FAT32 help me or is there some other problem here? I have installed this os on other hard disk before and never had this problem. Its a commercial no activation required os. Please, Someone help me with this headache! Thanks kindly,
