anton 0 Posted November 25, 2000 I just obtained this card and installed it under Win2k. The driver installation went fine (the 3rd time through) and DVD Station installed as well. But, when I try to output an mpeg to the TV, my TV just displays crazy colors... like a blocked out station. The DVD Station display works though, and shows the timer and position bar moving along. Also, I can take a still capture... so I guess the mpeg is playing. I'm using a composite connection between the H+ and the TV. Latest H+ W2K drivers and Service Pack 1 installed. Any ideas anyone? Thanks, -Anton Share this post Link to post
anton 0 Posted November 26, 2000 I believe I have isolated my problem. I have been using a 4-pin s-video to rca adapter rather than a 7-pin. Would this make a difference? Does the Hollywood+ require a 7-pin s-video adapter for the TV-out? -Anton Share this post Link to post
CUViper 0 Posted November 26, 2000 well I haven't tried the tv output, but the s-video/rca adapter that came with the H+ has all 7 pins, so that probably is your problem Share this post Link to post
~Aragorn~ 0 Posted November 28, 2000 if u use a 4 pin cable you can ONLY get S-Video if you use the 7 pin one that came with it u get composite - the reason being the other 3 pins are the composite signals (well only 2 - one must be used for switching) so either use S-Video to Svideo or get a proper 7 pin cable - try sigma designs website for a contact number Share this post Link to post
