paul_h_amiga 0 Posted December 12, 2000 Does anyone know about a problem with the sound blaster Live!card when they try to use a joypad with with Windows 2000? The joypad keeps showing up as OK then Not connected, and then back to OK again!! I have checked the pad is connected, but this isn't the problem. This means I can't use it. Is there any way to fix this? I am using the LIve!Ware Drivers 3.0 from the Creative Web Site. ------------------ Bob The Builder http://www.thtproductions.co.uk/ Share this post Link to post
Boutblock 0 Posted December 12, 2000 Same pb here with a sidewinder 3D pro, SBlive, BH6 1.0x, PIII800e - with win2kSP1 and DX8 and lw3 drivers -> blinks from connected to disconnected every two seconds ! - with winme DX7a, SW3.02 + original SBLive drivers -> OK ! - with winme DX7a, SW3.02 + lw3 SBLive drivers -> NOK I used to believe it was due to DX8 with win2k, then due to FSB>66Mhz but now it fails with lw3 SBlive drivers under winme... I m lost !!! I got in touch with someone at MS for this pb but no answer now ! HELP !! Share this post Link to post
~Aragorn~ 0 Posted December 12, 2000 ok folks MS do have an answer to this but it may not work wif u! I have an MS Sidewinder Percision Pro with game port OR USB - if i use game port it does that if i use usb it doesn't - guess what MS's answer was - "if the game controller can use USB via an adaptor then use it or you MAY experience problems" nice one eh - nows the part where u say "ive got a sidewinder game pad (non-usb) - well i have one of them too and it works fine so i dunno about that one Share this post Link to post
Lothario 0 Posted December 13, 2000 Yeah I have both a sidewinder gamepad and a precision pro. Both work fine in w2k. What I can't seem to do is daisy-chain two gamepads together. Any ideas? Lothario Share this post Link to post
