snoturtle69 0 Posted December 13, 2000 Hi Does anyone know where I can get a small motherboard? I'm looking for one with everything on board and as few slots as possible. Also one that supports celerons. It's for a computer for my kids Thanks Share this post Link to post
EddiE314 0 Posted December 14, 2000 Try an "Asus CUWE-RM" its a Socket 370 FCPGA motherboard (microATX) with onboard sound and video, it has 3 PCI slots and 1 AMR slot, 3 168-pin DIMMs, Ultra DMA/66, it supports Socket 370 Pentium 3's 533-733MHz, i don't know if it supports Celeron FCPGA's or not, you'll have to read up on it, it'll run you about $125-$130 US. Hope I helped. Share this post Link to post
Igor 0 Posted December 15, 2000 PCchips BX-Pro micro ATX (723 I think). Fits into 12' AT case and can take AT power supply. Supports Celeron1 and P2. Share this post Link to post
GHackmann 0 Posted December 15, 2000 AnandTech recommends the AOpen MX3W. See the whole article here: http://www.anandtech.com/showdoc.html?i=1367&p=2 You might also want to keep Durons in mind if you haven't bought the processor yet, because they have a huge performance advantage over Durons. They cost a little more, so really it's a question of whether or not your kids need the extra performance and are willing to pay a little more for it. (What are your kids going to be using the computer for? Not Counter-Strike, I hope ) Share this post Link to post
Igor 0 Posted December 16, 2000 Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the kids are the once playing the most games and NEED the MOST powerfull toy on the market? Share this post Link to post
snoturtle69 0 Posted December 16, 2000 Hi Thanks for all the help The kids will definitely not be playing counter strike. More like Blues Clues and Candy Land Ages 4,2,1 the little one doesn't play yet I did think about giving them my BP6 setup now that I've got my VP6 maybe [This message has been edited by snoturtle69 (edited 16 December 2000).] Share this post Link to post
