news 28 Posted July 30, 2009 Hi everyone, After reviewing ASUS' micro-ATX, Intel X58 chipset Rampage II Gene a while back, we were most impressed with this foray into providing users looking to build a Small Form Factor system with a motherboard worthy of the enthusiast-level Republic of Gamers brand. Now, ASUS are back with another micro-ATX part, the P45 chipset-sporting Maximus II Gene - Can it do a similarly good job of impressing us? ASUS Maximus II Gene micro-ATX motherboard review "The dimensions of the Maximus II Gene mirror those of the Rampage II Gene perfectly, in keeping with the board's micro-ATX form factor, but despite that small size the overall layout of this particular motherboard is virtually impeccable. The only potential issue you may run into here is a dual-slot CrossFire graphics board configuration blocking off the on-board power and reset buttons, but even this isn't too big a deal in the grand scheme of things - That aside, everything is easy to get to even if you're looking to pack out the system with hardware." http://www.elitebastards.com/cms/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=739&Itemid=27 As always, a news post on your site would be hugely appreciated, and we guarantee to reciprocate by posting any news items received from yourselves.
