DremNeonBlack 0 Posted November 13, 2000 My friend has great problems using his new HP 9110i in win2k. In device manager, it says "HP CD-Writer+ 9100", and regular cdrom usage is fine, but it just wont burn anything. Can you help us out? thanks for any info Share this post Link to post
INFERNO2000 0 Posted November 13, 2000 If he JUST got it, take it back and get an Iomega or Plextor. Those don't have any problems in W2k. HP writers are notorious for not working properly in W2K, and HP can't write drivers for ****. Otherwise...just hound HP until they can give you some advice... Use Adaptec Easy CD Creator if you can, I'm not sure what HP gives you for software. Nero is nice too...but Adaptec seems to be the standard. Share this post Link to post
psu_canuck 0 Posted December 1, 2000 I just installed Win2K Pro and have an HP 9100i as well... I have not been able to get anything to work... CDRWin 3.8 says I need an ASPI file installed??? Is the end fix to reinstall Win98 and use it for burning? Share this post Link to post
Down8 0 Posted December 1, 2000 If you only need ASPI, then you're not too bad off. I got ASPI crap from my SCSI card, but I know you can get it from other places. Take a look around the web. -bZj Share this post Link to post

Silly 0 Posted December 18, 2000 Please make sure you are running Ez Cd Creator 4.02d or above. (Newest one is 4.02e) Any other version of Adaptec EZ CD Creator wont work with Win 2K Share this post Link to post
