Strange sound and shutdown problem!

Hi,

i have installed win2k pro and sp1, but i get problems when i shut down.

When i go to shut down windows does'nt do anything, it just sits there, after about 10 minutes it then shuts down, also the sound will work on startup but sometime cuts out half way thuough the startup tune.

I all worked fine on my old system but since i upgraded it's all gone tits up.

 

any help would be great.
