dragonbb3 0 Posted January 1, 2001 ok lately i have been getting a number of error message and crashes. while playing games Here are some of the messages i have been getting From event log WMI ADAP was unable to process the PerfDisk performance library due to a time violation in the open function WMI ADAP failed to connect to namespace \\.\root\cimv2\MS_809 with the following error: 0x8004100e From a blue screen crash ***STOP:0x00000001E (0xC000001D,OX804073E,0X81E2EA08,OxFFFF0000) KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED ***Address 8040073Ebase at 80400000, datestamp 39760637-ntoskrnl.exe Beginning dump of physical memory have also been getting page fault errors. now my system dpecification is as follows Athlon 650 slot A ASUS K7M Motherboard 128Mb of 133 Mhz RAM. soundblaster live 1024 value voodoo 5 5500 2 20 gig hard drives Adaptec AIC-7850 PCI scsi controller asuscom ISDN PCI terminal adaptor realtek RTL8029 PCI Ethernet NIC Am running windows millenium and windows 2k professional with all buig fixes and service pack installed now games seem to just as unstable in windows ME as they are in windoes 2000 but win2k gives me error messages which may be of help here. games running with 3d acceleration such as eliter force and unreal tournament but also crashes in games that use 2d such as pharoah. I am thinking that some hardware may be faulty but i do not believe that it is the video card. becuase normally only 3d games seem to be effected but 2d games are as well. if anyone can help i would be very grateful as it is becoming really annoying now as i cant play anything at all due to it crashing thanks Share this post Link to post
