Recommended Posts

Hi There:

May be someone asked this question before..Is W2K supporting UDMA by default installation? If yes, where can I look up the related info within W2K?

Thanks for your help! smile

By default Win2k supports transfer rates up to ATA-66.

Do a search on 'ATA-100' on the Microsoft knowledge base.

It tells you that it isn't supported, but there is a pre SP2 beta file that is available from them.

I got this file and it did seem to work OK.

SP2 is listed as having the final version of this file, so wait for this and all will then be sorted.
