alx29 0 Posted January 14, 2001 i am a newbie...i am trying to install win2k on: ms-6260s motherboard, ali5 m1542,m1543chipset creative value sound, amd k6-2 350 cpu, riva tnt2 m64 i have tried to get all the possible drivers that are out there but i still seem to have a problem with my video card...it wont start, and im not really sure what the problem is...please help me... Napalm 0 Posted January 15, 2001 First of all: what kind of problem are you having. Some general help here: Try uninstalling the video card drivers, then clearing out all the drivers (like *.ini that relate to your video)? Then Reboot and when win2000 asks you for your card, point it to where your downloaded drivers are at? Share this post Link to post
9inchNail 0 Posted January 15, 2001 Aloha First of all be sure to use the newest BIOS for your Mobo. Then switch ACPI off. Hit "F5" when asked to hit "F6" for Scsi/Raid-drivers. Chose "Standard-Pc" in the list. This happens at the beginning of the "blue"-Setup. Seems to be the old prob between Nvidia- and Ali-Chipsets... alx29 0 Posted January 15, 2001 my problem in a nutshell is this: the video card will not start up...that is it... i have no other conflicts anywhere other than in the vgasave properties area, and i have already tried to get all the latest drivers from ali page and from matsonic's page...by the way, i already tried to uninstall all the drivers for the video card...that didnt work, i will try other suggestions tonight and email back again...thanx either way everyone...
